Today, I am going to share the story of David Hooks. David lived in rural Georgia. A search warrant was obtained by the police using information from a self-admitted meth addict who had robbed David's home a few days prior. His wife, seeing people outside, and fearing the robber returned, woke up David and alerted him to the danger. As many of us would do, David exercised his Constitutional right to self defense and armed himself. The Police barged in unannounced. Upon seeing him armed, they shot and killed David. No illegal material of any kind was found in the house, and no police went to jail for this action. Please help me continue to fight against No-Knock Warrants in Colorado. Send the petition to five people. Together we can honor the memory of Brennoa, Ismael, and the countless others like them to ensure this tragedy never strikes in Colorado.
