Australia is the home of Mad Max. It is time for the organisers of Wasteland Weekend brought the event Down Under. What better place to celebrate all things apocalypse than the location of the genre defining Mad Max: The Road Warrior? The beautifully desolate landscape of Broken Hill and Silverton deserves to once more be graced by the inhabitants of The Wasteland.

Australia has a huge contingent of dedicated Mad Max fans, many of whom have grown up with the films. Ranging from Main Force Patrol diehards to incredible Fury Road costumers, and incredibly enthusiastic and broad contingent of fans would love to see Wasteland Weekend held in Australia.

Most importantly, we have the hardware. The Falcons, the Monaros, the Valiants, the Kawasakis, and everything in between. 

Finally, an Australian Wasteland Weekend would bring the opportunity to attract original cast and crew members, who still have a passion for everything Mad Max.
