JANN TO REPRESENT POLAND AT EUROVISION 2023
The Issue
Poland's National Selections were rigged, and we're not gonna let it slide.
Jann was the artist most expected to win Poland's national selections for Eurovision 2023 since it was announced his song qualified for the final of the national selections. It was the most talked about song, with the most support from the fans, as well as from Polish celebrities, and other contestants. Jann has gathered lots of support not only from Polish Eurovision fans but also from many international ones. Once his song became popular among Eurovision fans, Poland went no. 6 in the official Eurovision 2023 odds. When you search for videos of TOP 10 songs from Tu Bije Serce Europy, he's no. 1 in basically all of them. During the final, you could hear people screaming his name, applauding him louder than anyone else, and booing when he got a low score from the judges. He was probably the most beloved contestant out of all Polish national selections so far. Right before announcing the winner, you can hear people screaming his name only. Before the day of the final, most people thought his biggest competition would be Alicja Szemplińska who ended up not even reaching the top 3 in the fan voting. No one even considered Blanka to be a potential winner. Her song was a big radio hit but not a potential Eurovision song. The fact that he was said to be second in the fan voting didn't make any sense. Neither did the results of the jury voting. Celebrities working for TVP, a known propaganda television, are not reliable judges. The results of the voting were widely criticized on all social media profiles of TVP and Eurovision. Numerous Polish artists also expressed their disbelief, including fellow contestant Maja Hyży, or Michał Szpak who represented Poland at ESC in 2016. Many news outlets have already written articles about the backlash the Polish national selections received. As soon as Blanka's song was announced to be the winning song, Poland went from 6 in the odds to 9, then to 11, and it's still falling. Various videos of people who were present in the audience of the final have been posted on social media, on which we can see how mad the audience was at the final outcome.
Soon after the final, many viewers noticed that the post on TVP's official site about Blanka winning was written at 15:30, many hours before her win. After some time, the hour was changed but not quickly enough for no one to notice - many screenshots and videos are available online.
