Allow Medical Marijuana to be dispensed to (my daughter)patientsin State run group homes as per Arizona A.R.S. 36-401 .
The Issue
Hello My name is Cat Black and I am petitioning for my daughter Regina Nachwalter
Legal Medical Marijuana Patients are not allowed Medical Marijuana medication to be dispensed if they are living in Group home facility. The Federal Insurance restrictions have the hands tied of the Hozhoni Foundation in Arizona.
My daughter is an Autistic 26 year old women living in one of their group homes and on 3 strong medications dispensed 3 times a day, perscribed by her medical doctor. This has been an ongoing rollercoaster of dosages for many years that have to this point not been able to stablize or control behaviors/pain/suffering of this mental disability.
As I am writing this she has been admitted to the Mental Health Crisis Center for observation of her medications and the control behavior.
The pain and suffering is majorly dimineshed when she has the ability to consume 1/9th of a $20 piece of Medical Majiuana perscription chocolate. This has been documented by the caseworkers over the course of her care. Also this has been recorded in her medical file by her medical doctor.
She legally has been given a State approved license for this medication by a State approved profesional and pays for her own medication. The Arizona Statutes #A.R.S. 36-401 states that "a public place DOES NOT include Adult Health care facilities " and so she should not be prohibited from this medication in her home. There is no risk to others, only the benefit to her and for the safety of others. To allow the medication would help my daughter and others have a healthful quality of life for minimal cost and wellbeing.
Please help send this message and speak for those who cant.
