As a resident of the Nevils community and a sister, a daughter, a cousin, and a friend to many who travel Highway 67, I believe that there needs to be a traffic light at the intersection of Highway 67 and Nevils-Denmark/Brooklet-Denmark Rd. This road is so dangerous, and the light would add more safety. There are many high school drivers, buses, and families who travel to and from school that have to cross this road. As a driver myself, I am terrified to go across this road, and I try to avoid this intersection. It took way too many wrecks and deaths at Highway 46 and Highway 301 to get a light there, so it would be more proactive to put a traffic light before terrible wrecks and deaths happen. Through the petition, I hope our representatives will hear the concerns of not just myself, but also of all the other people who have to travel through this intersection.
