Given the public rhetoric regarding Yassmin's position on the Council for Australian-Arab Relations and the suggestion that Julie Bishop might potentially remove her, this petition will be sent to the office of Julie Bishop as well as to the ABC. The suggestion that someone's opinion expressed on social media should somehow render them less suitable for the role is completely unreasonable, but if there is any hint of such a thing being considered then it is important that we all show our support for Yassmin and resist any attempt to remove her. Please keep up the good work and continue to share this petition far and wide.
