The far right wing press and some of their followers have created petitions calling for the ABC to take various forms of action against broadcaster and youth advocate Yassmin Abdel Magied in response to her daring to call out Senator Jacqui Lambie for her ignorance. 

Currently the ABC is doing the right thing and standing by her. We applaud them for doing this and encourage them not to give in to pressure to the contrary. The very loud voice of racist Australia is not the true voice of Australia.

We call upon the ABC Board and its Chairperson James Spigelman AC QC to support Yassmin and to denounce the obvious bigotry that is being promoted through the commercial media.
