We the undersigned ask that Montgomery County adopt the NO KILL EQUATION.

The No Kill Equation is a cohesive set of initiatives that have been implemented successfully in a variety of cities and communities around the country resulting in dramatically lower kill-rates of cats, dogs and other companion animals in city shelters, while maintaining public health and safety.

Programs modeled after the No Kill Equation seek to give citizens greater input and involvement in how the shelter operates and they can be implemented on a cost-effective basis. In many cases, these programs are less expensive than killing. In ALL cases, these programs are a better reflection of the heart of the people of Montgomery County.
