On 14th February 2021 Storm Eunice damaged part of the main roof of Drayton Green Primary School. Since then both playgrounds have been shut because of the danger of falling debris and the children are having to be kept inside all day, missing break time and lunchtime play outdoors. This has now been going on for over three weeks with no resolution pending.

Families with children in different year groups have to drop off and pick up in separate areas, and the safety of the one-way in/out system previously in place because of Covid can no longer be implemented.

We, the parents and children of Drayton Green Primary School, urge the Local Authority to immediately assess and arrange to get the roof repaired as a priority to enable the playgrounds to be be re-opened as soon as possible.

No more excuses, no more delay!!

Being kept inside all day is not healthy for our children, physically or mentally. They have been through enough in recent years and we all want the problem fixed as soon as possible!!
