On June 28th, 2020 Amani Kildea, 20,  was found hanging from a tree in Morris County, New Jersey. The police ruled his death a suicide without investigation, but he was found over 45 minutes away from where he lived, and Morris County has been known to be racist. He was set to attend James Madison University in the fall, with hopes of joining the FBI or CIA one day. I think the best way to honor his memory would be to have one of the halls that were recently temporarily renamed, named after him. With progressive ideologies becoming more prominent in university settings, I think this would be another great step in the right direction for JMU.
