Sudbury water meadows bypass to cut congestion? We need better roads.

Our MP James Cartlidge has started a petition for a Sudbury Western Bypass but says the wording allows for any scheme to reduce congestion in the town.
Please sign this petition to keep the Water Meadows for posterity AND support better roads for everyone in Sudbury, Cornard and Waldingfield. Key aims are to remove all HGVs from the town centre and as much east west traffic as possible.
The Save Sudbury's Water Meadows petition is to stop the Western Bypass. This one is for a better solution. Why not sign both?
In the Spring Mr Cartlidge praised the Water Meadows Business Plan for its vision but warned of practicalities to come.
Quite right! Will all those HGVs use a bypass? What if we build a bypass only to find most of the traffic wants to go into Sudbury or cross the Stour at Ballingdon?
Far better to spend £40 million on a bridge at Great Cornard and roads to relieve congestion in Sudbury. And on amenities for everyone living in Sudbury, Great Cornard, Chilton and the new homes springing up to the north and east of the town.
Please sign this petition to vote for a better vision for Sudbury than the wanton destruction of the water meadows between Ballingdon and Rodbridge.
