The New York Council of Nonprofits has made considerable efforts to ensure that the needed changes to the Nonprofit Revitalization Act are made with the best interest of New York's nonprofits. Recently, NYCON has submitted a Memo of Revision, which requests delaying the effective date of the Act from July 1st, 2014 to January 1st, 2015, providing an additional six month adjustment period for New York State's Nonprofits.

This Petition will be sent to the Act's sponsors within the New York State's House and Senate, as well as the office of Govenor Cuomo, to urge them to seriously consider delaying the Act's effective date.
