The Issue

When two passionate University of Houston student leaders, Dara and Bianca, were admiring James Avery charms on Instagram, they came to a startling conclusion - their university was not represented in the James Avery Jewelry charm collection.

The University of Texas at Austin, Texas A&M, Baylor, Texas Tech, and several other universities in Texas are represented with James Avery as a licensee - but the 3rd largest university in Texas on the basis of enrollment, the University of Houston, is yet to be added to the collection.

When UH Branding was approached with the idea, their response was as such:

"Our offices have contacted them annually to engage their interest. They have not been willing to become a licensee and have not been giving us a reason for not wanting to be involved. In many cases such as this it comes down to demand for the product and there has to be a substantial for them to carry the product."

Join Dara, Bianca, and the University of Houston Student Government Association in calling for James Avery Jewelry to consider becoming a licensee of the University of Houston and selling UH charms!
