Cxc students we need to be heard. We aren't ready we need either time or a better solution

The Issue

Since the complete close down of schools in Jamaica, learning for most students across the country has been very difficult. The problems can vary from  the lack of devices for online schooling, insufficient or no internet  or it could be just that some students find it hard to learn online and family crisis due to the pandemic.

The students that are most vulnerable because of these reasons are the CXC and Cape level students. It has been so hard for us, I for one know this much because i am a CXC student. For similar reasons that were named i was unable to attend my classes hence it has been a great set back for me, I don't have enough time to finish everything and I don't want to fail, my mother did too much to manage my subjects financially on her own. I can strongly assure you that students out there are facing greater challenges and because of the short time period are pressured with exams being right around the corner. With all the assignments to be sent in and the topics that are to be covered, not to mention the SBA's students are on a over load and are almost on the brink of malfunctioning.

I would appreciate if the government along with the Caribbean examination council take a stand with us and understand our crisis and situation. I would like for them to find a better solution that will impact us positively and give us more time to prepare. Students have been so stressed they get so sick they end up in hospitals or killing themselves. We are taking a stand for our success. We have been told we are the future please treats us like it.
