Boycott The National Lottery until fairness is applied and Mammon destroyed.
The Issue
The National Lottery appears to thrive on the apparent greed and mammonistic ideals of it's operatives. Camelot claim that the 100% hike in the cost per entry, from £1 to £2, was introduced due to popular 'demand'. After almost two years of 'research' I have not met a single person who is happy with this change. In fact, many people have not played since this increase was imposed. Pensioners in particular cannot afford to pay the increased amount.
Now, following the, in my opinion, crackpot decision to increase the number pool from 49 to 59, surprise, surprise, we are faced with repetitive roll-overs which are becoming obscene. Yes, we would all love to be the unlikely winner of these massive jackpots but I suspect that most decent people would struggle to manage such 'wealth'. Surely Camelot must have been aware that this latest change would create this situation. The prize distribution is, in my opinion, nothing short of ridiculous. Six numbers would have won you more than £30 million last week. Have a look at the pay-out for five numbers.
I advocate that all right-thinking people boycott The Lottery until the stake is restored to £1 per entry, the numbers are reverted to 49, the prize distribution is rationalised, and the roll-over is either abolished or limited to two or three draws. When this point is reached the prize money should cascade down to the lesser prizes similar to the football pools where all available prize money is paid out for each 'draw'.
Any takers, or is Mammon your God?
If you disagree with my opinions good luck to you.
I am not claiming that the above comments are fact but merely my opinions and wishes.
