The skate park in riverhead has been widely ignored by the town these past few years with the acceptance of it finally reopening. After the removal of many important ramps (which were taken out due to plans of creating a pickle ball court that never was created) and the decision to not turn on the lights after dark, many people that would normally use the skate park are left angry and unsatisfied when they have to drive to another town that has a skate park with lights and better design. This goal of this petition is to make the skate park like it was when it was thriving. To bring back the ramps that were taken away and to keep the lights on after dark till at least 10:00pm. The skate park in my home town has been like a safe haven for me and many other people alike so please help us make this change and get the skate park back into its prime!
