This Petition is for the leadership of Brazil, to stop the devastation of the Rain Forests.

The Amazon is home for a diverse ecosystem of Flora and Fauna (animals and plants). The Amazon forest - know as the "Planet's Lungs"  are needed to produce Oxygen and to fight Climate Change. Without forests of the Amazon, roughly 20 percent of the Oxygen will not be made, and CO emissions will rise, dramatically effecting the planet's future.

Yet Fires continue to burn at a record Level. In July alone the Forest lost 870 square miles of vegetation.

There have been 72,843 fires in Brazil this year (with more than half in its Amazon region), and satellite images have spotted 9,507 new forest fires in the county — mostly in the Amazon basin. 

These fires are used to clear the land. This catastrophic deforestation will not be easily reversed, and we are reaching a tipping point. The administration of President Jair and the government of Brazil needs to recognize this and protect them at all costs. Let's get the message out, that we need to preserve the Rain Forests of the Amazon!  Save the RAIN FORESTS of Brazil. Save the Planet. Save the Animals.
