Allow Optometrists in Puerto Rico to prescribe eye medications like all the 50 States.

La causa

Puerto Rico has been declared to have the highest prevalence in blindness of any state or territory by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) in Atlanta. The Federal Trade Commission and the anti monopoly division of the Federal Department of Justice has expressed in a joint Statement supporting this bill and encouraging the Puerto Rico legislature to consider expanding the scope of practice for optometrists. Bill PS 991 has to be voted on the Puerto Rico Chamber of Representatives before June 25, 2016. Please support the citizens of Puerto Rico so they can have equal rights in receiving access to excellent Eyecare as the mainland and territories citizens.
