The reason for my campaign is to bring skills based lessons back into schools. No everyone is academically gifted but everybody has a gift and we all deserve a chance to shine.
I was diagnosed with Dyslexia at 17 and struggled through my exams but i was naturally gifted at sewing and i was given an amazing opportunity and was chosen to take part in a very popular sewing programme and came 2nd. Being on the programme taught me some amazing life skills but it also taught me never let anyone tell you you can't or your not good enough, everyone can succeed with hard work and determination.
Exams are not for everyone and there are a lot of children out there struggling with todays curriculum its time to change its time to go back to the way it was where people learnt a skill.
My skill is sewing and it has opened many doors for me and i am proof that having a skill and working hard really does pay off x
