To the president of South Africa, Jacob Zuma,

 The Lion population is inferred to have undergone a reduction of approximately 42% over the past 21 years (approximately three Lion generations, 1993-2014) as we can read in IUCN red list. In fact, lion numbers have already reduced 450,000 down to just 20,000 and possibly even lower today. We need to PRESERVE the life and natural death of the lions, It is necessary to  STOP KILLING AND HUNTING LIONS. 

With great respect to South Africa and its beautiful environment, we ask you to prohibit the cruel and senseless hunting of lions which could lead to their tragic extintion.

Moreover, it has been created the "canned hunting", which is a fast-growing business in South Africa, where thousands of lions are being bred on farms to be shot by wealthy foreign trophy-hunters. The lions are taken away from their mothers just an hour after birth. We can not allow this to happen. This is the most horrible thing that we have ever seen and we do not want this in a beautiful country as South Africa, we want a country of respect, conscious of its nature and its history. 

The South African government should know that such practices harm the image of their country and can have a negative impact on its tourism industry, so we request that your government take the decision to ban this activity so contrary to the ethics and principles of respect for nature and animals. 

We beg you to stop this killing, we love the essence of Africa and its will life, so please do not let this horrible stain happen in this beautiful country. Let people keep wanting visit it. And let lions live their life.
