Many of us have been to or heard of The Pet Warehouse in Jacksonville, NC. The stories that are told from this place are most of the time horrifying and deviating to here. They do not care for their animals as they should and mostly only care about the money. As the days go on I will be reaching out to those who have had an experience with this facility and share it with you all. I will share my own for starters. I purchased a puppy there (even though I heard TERRIBLE things, my heart decided to give them a chance). They had told me this puppy was fully vaccinated and gave me some paperwork that “proved it”. Since the first day the puppy was quiet, shy, and I figured it was because he was in a new home and getting adjusted. After not eating for 24 hours I decided to take him to the emergency vet. I found out the devastating news that he had Parvo Virus. If many of you do not know it is a deadly disease that can be easily prevented with a vaccine. I took my puppy back to the Pet Warehouse where they said they would treat him. They told me they would treat him right away because they were “not the kind of place” to just leave the puppies sick. The lady took him and walked him back. She was not a vet and I can assure you there was no vet there so I was already sketchy about it. They called me a couple minutes later to ask me for paperwork that showed his diagnosis so they could show the breeder (probably so they could just get THEIR MONEY BACK). I sent it to them and asked about the puppy they said they had given him fluids and they were trying to keep him stable. I called back to check a couple hours later since they had no called me and they told me he had passed. I believe, and I am sure MANY will agree with me, that they did not do anything to try and save my puppy. This place DOES NOT CARE FOR ANIMALS, it is not only the dogs but the others too. Please help me save the future puppies that will be brought here to end up suffering later down the line.
