Yoel Rodriguez, an innocent Hispanic man, was arrested and charged with battery at a Walmart in Jacksonville, Florida.Yoel and his family were shopping at Walmart around it’s closing time. They were waiting on line to check out. However, they forgot to get mandarines, so they went off to get it. An employee asked him to go to the register because Walmart was closing, but Yoel didn’t understand English. Authorities were called and the situation escalated from there. The cop punched Yoel in the face, resulting in black eye and wounds in the face. Yoel was arrested and charged with battery for defending himself. He was confused, he didn’t know what was happening. NO ONE deserves to be treated like this by cops. POLICE BRUTALITY NEEDS TO STOP.
