Colonel and 3 other dogs were locked in a garage for 7 months in a Kansas City, MO home. Colonel was starved to the point where he could not be saved and the three other dogs were seldom fed. Despite repeated calls to KCMO Animal Control, no action was taken until it was too late to save Colonel. Please see his story at https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=586352783531&set=vb.214957495214097&type=2&theater and https://www.facebook.com/JusticeForColonel. It is up to the Jackson County Prosecutor to file charges against all parties involved in the abuse, and up to the city and county officials to enact AND enforce laws protecting our pets. Let's not allow Colonel to die in vain - please sign this petition demanding Colonel's killers be held accountable. We will forward this petition to the prosecutor as well as city and county officials requesting more be done to safeguard animals from abuse and neglect.
Cruelty to animals in KCMO happens all the time and is generally ignored by KCMO Animal Control and the prosecutor's office.
