Humans are privileged enough to live in a world in which they are free to have a voice. Unfortunately, animals don't. In the United States, over 100 million animals are burned, crippled, poisoned, and abused in labs every year for the purpose of product safety testing. Additionally, many well known companies that we use in our daily lives such as Neutrogena, Dove, Colgate, and many more use this type of testing on a daily basis. Though many would argue that animals must be sacrificed for the betterment of society's well being, humans cannot justify making life better for themselves by randomly torturing and executing thousands of animals per year to perform tests when there are in fact alternatives. Animals should be treated with respect and dignity, and this right to decent treatment is not upheld when animals are exploited for selfish human gain. So I ask you, please be a voice for the voiceless and help end this inhumane act.
