Yes To A Pool At Hearst Park

The Issue

The Washington, DC City Council has budgeted more than $5 million to design and build a new outdoor public pool in Hearst Park - Ward 3's first. Yet some of the park's neighbors are fighting the project. They fear parking issues, possible loss of some of the park's three tennis courts or a possible loss of trees, among other things. It's not clear any of these things would have to happen, and that good design wouldn't provide a better way. Be a part of the first phase of that good design and lend your voice in support of a pool at Hearst Park. Sign this petition to the coordinators and project managers at DC's Department of General Services and Department of Parks and Recreation.
