JACKIE ESPINOSA: RESIGN OR BE REMOVED
Public Office Is a Trust, Not a Trough.
Demand Accountability. Restore Trust. Protect the People of Kissimmee.

To Mayor Jackie Espinosa and the Kissimmee City Commission:
We, the undersigned residents, taxpayers, business owners, and supporters of honest government, call upon Mayor Jackie Espinosa to resign immediately.

If she refuses to resign, we call upon the Kissimmee City Commission to move forward without delay with the formal impeachment process and take whatever lawful action is supported by the evidence after due process.

This is not about politics.

This is not about personalities.

This is about public trust.

Public office is one of the highest responsibilities a citizen can be entrusted with. Every elected official takes an oath to serve the people—not themselves.

When that trust is called into question by the findings of an independent investigation, the people deserve accountability.

According to the report issued by court-appointed Special Prosecutor Mayanne Downs, there is clear probable cause to pursue articles of impeachment relating to the City of Kissimmee's Business Boost 2.0 grant program.

The report addresses approximately $50,000 in Business Boost 2.0 grant funds awarded to businesses associated with Mayor Jackie Espinosa and members of her family and raises issues concerning conflicts of interest, financial-disclosure obligations, and ethics compliance.

The Special Prosecutor recommended that the City Commission proceed with articles of impeachment on three counts and refer the matter to the appropriate governmental and oversight agencies.

Separately, Florida's Chief Financial Officer announced that state auditors identified what the office described as "troubling irregularities" involving the grant program and referred the matter to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement's Public Corruption Unit and ethics authorities.

These are not anonymous accusations.

They are not social-media rumors.

They are the product of official governmental reviews.

Mayor Espinosa is entitled to due process, a fair hearing, and the opportunity to respond to every allegation.

That right must be respected.

But due process does not require silence.

It does not require delay.

And it does not prevent the people from demanding accountability from those elected to serve them.

Every taxpayer deserves confidence that public money is administered fairly, transparently, and without conflicts of interest.

Every honest public servant deserves to work in a government that places ethics above politics.

Every resident deserves leaders who understand that public office is a responsibility—not a personal privilege.

The integrity of City Hall matters.

The confidence of the public matters.

The future of Kissimmee matters.

We therefore respectfully demand the following:
That Mayor Jackie Espinosa resign from office in the best interests of the City of Kissimmee.
If she declines to resign, that the Kissimmee City Commission promptly move forward with the formal impeachment process recommended by the court-appointed Special Prosecutor.
That all proceedings be conducted openly, fairly, and transparently.
That all legally available records concerning the Business Boost 2.0 grant program be made available to the public.
That every governmental agency with jurisdiction be allowed to complete its work without interference.
That the City Commission take whatever lawful action is supported by the evidence after due process.
This petition is not about vengeance.

It is about accountability.

It is not about political victory.

It is about protecting the integrity of public office.

No elected official should ever be above the ethical standards expected of every public servant.

If we fail to hold our leaders accountable when credible concerns arise, we weaken the public's trust in every institution that serves our community.

Today, we have an opportunity to send a message that integrity still matters.

That transparency still matters.

That ethics still matter.

That the people of Kissimmee expect more from those who represent them.

Mayor Jackie Espinosa:
For the good of our city...

For the restoration of public confidence...

For the integrity of the office you hold...

Resign.

If you choose not to resign, we respectfully call upon the Kissimmee City Commission to fulfill its duty and move forward with impeachment proceedings without delay.

Sign this petition if you believe:
Public office is a trust—not a personal benefit.
No elected official is above accountability.
Taxpayers deserve honesty and transparency.
The people of Kissimmee deserve ethical leadership.
Integrity must always come before politics.
RESIGN OR BE REMOVED.
Restore Trust. Protect the Public. Put Kissimmee First.
