Emergency Department Nurses have a difficult job, and sometimes we just have to deal with it.  But when it comes to abuse from a public official, this is irrefutably reprehensible.  There is no doubt that Detective Jeff Payne, and his commanding lieutenant James Tracy, should be removed from active duty as they are a threat to the safety of the general public.  There can never be a precedent that an officer could assault an ED Nurse and keep his job.  I demand they be removed from duty and barred from serving in any public capacity.
