In the last day, all Twitter has rioted against the favorite hearts replacing the lovely and distinguishing star. That star meant that Twitter was different to other social networks, in which you just liked other user's posts and didn't care about them anymore, making us Twitter have our simple but greatly meaningful way to tell users how we cared about them: "I faved your Tweet".

Accounts, webs and Twitter games have been built around the fav star, so replacing it with a heart is just like taking from us what makes us special... destroying our souls.
