Patreon is a site that allows creators to be consistently funded for their creations and time by fans and other entities. Over the past year, it has achieved pretty hefty success and made it possibly for many of us to create more works and even live as artists. However, a downside to this is that there's been a largely unchecked growth in who is signing up for the site and funding. Including these projects is 8Chan. 8Chan is an image/message board that is being funded through Patreon now. The issue is that 8Chan allows any content, including pornography of minors as well as helps organized targeted harassment and stalking campaigns of people in the gaming community as well as posting of personal information of targets.

We the undersigned are creators who use Patreon and wish to have 8Chan removed from Patreon as it supports and financially profits from a site that contains and encourages extremely harmful material and practises towards many of us. Our pleas have largely had no effect, and we are hoping that collectively signing this petition allows Jack Conte and Patreon at large to see how many of us (who do contribute to Patreon financially by using the site) oppose the site being used to fund a very odious project.
