English has been the main language of official education and daily communication in this country for many years.  If our 5 million citizens wish to continue be able to communicate with the other 1456 million other souls worldwide who speak English, it is essential that the language called English is given Official Language status  in this country alongside Sign Language and Maori. We must have a choice to use the official language of our choice, and unless English as an Official language  is enshrined once more in law, that choice could be taken away from us.
