

For any overseas person or institution looking to do business with this country, finding the Government under this label would be extremely difficult.
We are increasingly finding the Maori phrase in bold lettering and the English name for an institution in weak or smaller script, making it more difficult to see or locate.
The creeping renaming of this country is going on unabated.
The new "Government Identity" as presented above, is yet another reason why we must have English as one of our official languages, not as an after thought to be left out or added as the writer sees fit.

It is ironic that the official crest of New Zealand depicted on the government logo above shows an English woman and a Maori chief on equal sides of the crest.

The use of the New Zealand Government Identity applies to all Public Service departments, departmental agencies, interdepartmental ventures, interdepartmental executive boards and Crown agents. Other categories of Crown entity and agencies in the wider public sector can use the responsive logo mark (excluding the Coat of Arms) if they wish, or as invited by Responsible Ministers.
