Instead of blaming the NZ Police for doing their job. The government needs to step up and make the penalty for evading the NZ Police far greater. Most people know that you are required to Stop for the Police.

Increase the penalties to a minimum of five years for failing to stop and causing a Police Pursuit; and if someone is injured or killed then the penalty increases to a minimum of  ten years or more.
