In 2011 the Chicago Sun-Times came out with a report stating that Morton 201 school board president, Jeff Pesek was connected to drug dealers and members of a motorcycle gang and the mob. Upon hearing this students of the district called for and petitioned for the resignation of Pesek and the school board, however the school board voted to keep him as president. More then 5 years later Pesek is still our school board president. However we have a flawed grading system and a poor curiculum, we have failing students and overworked teachers we have underfunded programs but are still able to renovate our buildings. We have an apathetic student body that does not care of learning but of just passing, that does not feel like it is being listened to by the administration, this all needs to change and I believe it can start with new leadership so I hope other students and members of the community will join me in asking for the resignation of Jeff Pesek as our school board president.
