4 days after arriving in Ohio, Izzy was exposed to a domestic violence situation.  Yes, you read that correctly.  4 DAYS.  I received a phone call on June 8th, 2026 at 11pm from my daughter informing me that her mother’s husband had gone crazy.  The police were called and her mother, thank God, removed her from the situation.  The sad part, however, is that she never should have been placed in that environment to begin with.  A domestic abuser was confirmed to be in the home, there is a No Contact order in place, and her mother still allowed her to be there.  THIS is why we need Izzy’s Law FL.  Now, my daughter who has been protected from such conditions the entirety of her life, has been exposed to a domestic abuser who according to the police report was “being told by a demon to kill every one”, has had the pleasure of being interviewed by a CPS worker weeks later, and is a thousand miles away from the safety of her home.  All of this was avoidable.  This child, my child, could have been prevented from experiencing this type of situation if a Citrus County Judge had just listened to my plea.  Even now, I have filed an emergency motion that is still sitting in limbo to try and protect her.  Will it take the death of my child, or a child in a similar situation, before judges and lawmakers finally take notice?

Help me pass this legislation so we can protect our children:
