Hi, im Rewa, a girl from Syria who moved to America 4 years ago. Being in an American school has its benefits, like not getting slapped with a ruler when you get a question wrong, but also has its down sides like the biggest one, having to do an IXL. If you look on the website, all of the reviews have one star or less, still parents and teachers and school districts continue to make children suffer from this never ending, brain numbing, stupidest piece of garbage that I’ve heard of. One review that said their child had a seizure from IXL when they got a question wrong.

when you get a question wrong, it doesn’t even explain how to do it. It just tells you. So I don’t understand why teachers always tell us to look at what they did when there’s practically nothing to look at since they don’t explain anything. 

when my teachers willingly torture me with having to do an IXL, there’s all the things that would give me anxiety. A timer, smart score, and questions answered. I could have 1,545,000 questions done, and my smart score would still be at zero (when your smart school gets to 100 you’re done with the torture). I also don’t understand why teachers would give students and IXL on ones that they didn’t even go over in class as opposed to introducing them to a new unit.

all of my classmates need change and kids around the USA and other parts of the world (If this dumb app is global) are suffering from this good for nothing worthless piece of trash of an app that supposed to be educational when really just makes me dumber. I’d rather get yelled out by a teacher for getting a question wrong. I can see you then spending six hours on IXL crying at 3 AM while my dog is barking and asking and his language “ what’s wrong are you hurt?” And I told my dog that I was hurting mentally and physically. He saw that I was crying because of the chrome book and almost attacked it but I didn’t let him because then I would have to pay $80.

if you sign this, you are an angel sent from heaven. Every single person that’s on this website right now needs to sign this even if you don’t know what IXL is because from the three paragraphs that I wrote, it should sound like torture. It is possibly the worst thing ever, and I would rather set my hands on fire, then do it again next year because it’s almost summer break thank God.
