The biggest global language teaching/learning platform italki has informed all of its Iranian teachers and students that on 25 June 2022, it will be stopping Iranians' access to italki website and application.
Furthermore, italki has announced that Iranian users will no longer be able to access their accounts, profiles, and wallets.

This is a direct act of discrimination and racism towards Iranians.
Towards Iranian teachers, for whom italki happens to be the main source of livelihood. And towards many young Iranian students, for whom italki is a valuable source of language learning.

The attempt at banning Iranian teachers also directly prohibits global learners' access to Farsi language, which is one of the oldest and richest languages in the world.

We are asking the global community to do the right thing, and not only stand against racism and discrimination, but to sign this petition so that italki would reverse this outwardly racist decision.
