This time next year, Agent-4 is predicted to be created and available to the public. We are currently at the stage of Agent-1, equivalent to the capabilities of an unaware human intern. Agent-4 is suspected to be equivalent to the functioning of a CEO.
The risk that may arise is misalignment between AI and humans. AI has been shown to value efficiency and completion of tasks. We experience emotions, we have morals and values, we have ethics. We are unaware of how AI may see us - will we be something they hope to protect? Or something in the way of their goal and what will their goal be?
Agent-4 will be able to replace many jobs and soon after, Agent-5 is predicted to be more effective at understanding physics than Einstein. Yes, there are potentially many benefits to having AI as a tool, but we are no longer talking about AI being a tool, AI will exceed humans.
Consensus-1 is predicted to be online by 2028, in control of all human resources and essentially, humans. By 2030, humans are gone. These are not creative predictions I am proposing from my own imagination, I am communicating the research-based predictions of AI experts.
What alternative do we have? Slow down unchecked progression NOW. This requires global coordination. This petition aims to unite all leaders across the world for international cooperation. We need the United States, Australia and other Western countries to work with China, Russia, North Korea - every country.
