Sign the petition to demand that Marin Board of Supervisors revise their Department of Agriculture’s ten-year invasive weed management plan for Marin County.

Small amounts of herbicides can cause profound health impacts on humans.  The US government’s approval process for herbicides is seriously flawed and cannot guide our actions. Low dose effects of hormone disruptors found in the herbicides have been linked to disease including neurobehavioral disorders, obesity, and immune dysfunction. They can cause endocrine disruption and increase growth of lymph node tissues. Spraying the aerial herbicides can contaminate ground water and is highly mobile in soil.  Herbicides are toxic to birds on an acute basis. Monarch butterflies, bees and other pollinators are being decimated and they need a healthy habitat to thrive.
