Hello. 
My name Thomas and I am a SIA trained security officer who works in a large department store. I am requesting that the government put shoplifters under house arrest.  
Currently the media coverage about crime in our shops; large and small is huge because the problem is huge.  Currently shoplifters, as we all know are unafraid – even blazon as they are getting away with crime after crime.  
However, did you know that the ‘Theft Act 1986’ means that from the age of 10 all shoplifters can be held responsible for their crime. We know there is no rooms in the prisons for shoplifters, and so  I am calling for the Government to create a law whereby shoplifters are put under house arrest which means they can't leave their house except for work or school. If they break these boundaries, then they can face up to in prison. 
Agencies could be set up to monitor the house arrest system. 
It is time to stop shoplifters!
