Flagler County is home to countless families whose loved ones live with Autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and other special needs. Yet, despite the growing demand, our community lacks adequate housing options that offer safety, dignity, and long-term support for these individuals.  Our surrounding counties - St. Johns, Duval, and Volusia - already have supported communities such as The Arc who not only provide independent living communities for their residents, but education and training as well.  Flagler County is long overdue for a community that offers the same.

We believe every person—regardless of ability—deserves access to a stable, inclusive living environment where they can thrive. Families should not be forced to relocate or face years-long waitlists simply to secure basic housing for their loved ones. It’s time for Flagler County to invest in purpose-built housing that reflects our values of compassion, equity, and community care.
