We need to amend animal welfare act to give the powers to Gardai or local authorities whose ultimate role would be to seize animals to the local pounds if they are been mistreated any person in society. Mistreatment to mean unwashed, not been fed, not been on a leash in a public place, full of sores and whipping animals In the current situation it seems everyone isn't covered under this legislation and anyone in power passes the buck to someone else. It's time to stand up for the animals who can't do it for themselves. Take two mins to sign and together we can protect vulnerable animals.
