Friends and supporters,
We need your help once again.
Not only has Islington come forward with a revised pavilion plan that still doesn't make a serious attempt to become a shared community/sport space - at a cost of perhaps £1.5m or more.
But as part of this plan the council intend cutting down a several of the beautiful trees in the park to replace this with nothing more than a storage area - so we swap natural beauty for a poorly thought through storage facility.
Some friends of our are utterly furious about the trees, and have started a petition about that matter. Please can we ask that you sign hat petition today as well?
We think the plans to cricket-ize the park have always been incredibly short-sighted, but to do so by reducing the park's beauty, utility, and value to the natural ecosystem seems utterly wrong to our friends -- and to us!
So please sign their petition here.
