Hi everyone,

As you know, we put up a struggle and had hoped we were approaching a better, fairer and more equal relationship on this matter with the council.

But we're looking at the park now and we see that football markings are no longer being placed on the activity space, that trees are being pulled back to raise the fence they need for insurance purposes because the space is actually not large enough to host the game.

We also see that as far as we can tell LBI has approved a shocking 1.5 million investment in the pavilion space over the next two years.

This, and the fact we've been told nothing official, makes us believe they fully intend to continue with the plan we have all opposed and to push our park into becoming a cricket centre, rather than a multiple use place we can all enjoy.

We could be wrong - but the lack of any official communication suggests we are not.
