We had a public meeting in Fleetwood on the 9th August 2016. The feedback was is that it was an informative meeting, it gave insight to the issues and problems that face this campaign. Despite the Blackpool Evening Gazette going to press stating the current Manx Provider has made it expressly clear that they have no intention of coming back to Fleetwood. We have of course written to the CEO of the IoMSPCo to have that confirmed. So I'm sure there are many questions and these are the most common that is being asked... Q: So, has the campaign stopped? A: That hasn't stopped the drive of the campaign. People might have thought we have given up! Well, they are very much mistaken. Q: Are we disappointed people have left? A: Yes of course. They should have asked us for a response so as to get both sides and not just one. They might of considered staying if they had... Q: Why did you use images in connection with the current provider A: Easy, image recognition. People tend to use image association, just saying the 'Ferry' could have meant Knott End Ferry... so to use images that many will remember from a nostalgic perspective and indeed many would remember as kids and perhaps have moved outside of the area. As they say, a picture paints a thousand words. Q: Has the press contacted you since that publication? A: Yes. A reporter attended the public hearing and said they would put up 'the other side' of the story the following day both in the Fleetwood Weekly and the Blackpool Gazette. Q: Has that happened? A: No, we're still waiting, but it hasn't stopped us driving forwards. It hasn't stopped us looking to get people to volunteer to cover their area and raise awareness of this campaign, to increase the voice and the louder the voice, the more the campaign will be heard. Every signature counts be it via e-petition or hard copy. They all count! Thank you for your continued Support Steve England Manx Business Reviews™
