However, the IoMSPCo is now looking a berth testing Holyhead with the HSC Manannan in case they are unable to berth at Heysham. The ferry provider fulfils it's obligation to get you to an alternative port. After you disembark their vessel, the obligation is completed. You will see I have attached a news bulletin on the main arterial route (A55) into Holyhead.. Please do read it. After you have read it, consider the fact that you could be stuck.. your business could be stuck.. indeed essential freight could be stuck at Holyhead and with no claim as the provider has fulfilled its obligation. The IoMSPCo has already undertaken a test run using the Ben My Chree [ see - http://www.manxradio.com/news/isle-of-man-news/steam-packet-plays-down-holyhead-rumours/]. You'll note the IoMSPCo 'plays it down' according to the local Radio Station, Manx Radio.... yet one month later [see - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-isle-of-man-36639053] the IoMSPCo puts the Manannan on berthing trials to the same port. In all the years this company has been running it has never undertaken such trials... Yet both Liverpool and Heysham are owned by Peel Holdings. Manx Business Reviews stated that it felt that being beholden to one port company was not in the best interests of the Island's residents, or indeed those who use the ferry company in order to connect with the Island be it for business or pleasure. However, MBR will leave those reading to ponder those points... The accompanying media relating to the A55 is something that Fleetwood is never likely to suffer. Even if Liverpool port is closed, it takes between an hour and 1hr 30 mins, unlike Holyhead to Liverpool, 1hr 48min on an 'A' road, not a motorway. We all know we are being subjected to more and more flooding as climate change has an effect on our planet.. but if that news clip is a sample, then it's reliability and dependability comes into question. So, those of you have signed have a little more information and a case of argument as to why Fleetwood should be given more consideration than at present. So we encourage you to share this petition with everyone on your friends list, send this email to every contact you have and let them see what you have been informed upon... We all know it makes sense, we just need a loud enough voice to say it, the more that sign. The louder the voice! Thank you for your continued support. Manx Business Reviews™
