ISD 709 Students NEED their sports and activities.  High School Sports and Activities teach students lifelong skills of teamwork and determination to achieve their goals.  Please help our voices be heard by signing the petition below. 

Parents and Students in ISD 709 are asking the Superintendent to let them play.  Participation in extracurricular activities provides an outlet for students during this difficult time of limited interaction with positive adult role models and their peers. The structure and discipline provided by these activities is not reproducible at home in front of a screen.  Sports and Activities give students purpose and focus while creating lifelong friendships and a healthier mental outlook.  Students use athletics combined with success in the classroom to improve their overall trajectory in life.

ISD 709 Fall Sports and Activities were very successful.  Covid preparedness plans were followed, any cases were immediately identified and isolated.  Our students deserve the opportunity to participate in the activities, they need the structure and commitment high school sports and activities provide.   

Give the kids the opportunity to play and do it safe!
