Bangladesh is burning. People are being burnt alive. The ongoing blockades and hartals due to political disagreements are causing an economic meltdown. Common people across the country are paying the price of the political stalemate. There is no guarantee that any of us will make it through the day and see another day. We, the common people, are looking at you, the political parties, for hope, reconciliation and understanding. Only through mutual cooperation between the political parties and the common people, can we see a well functioning, prosperous and beautiful country. We Bangladeshis, in all spheres of life, are urging all political parties to stop its disagreements due to unilateral decisions and ensuing violence immediately. We urge you to create environment for democracy to be practiced. We condemn arson and any form of attack on the innocent civilian. Say NO to Violence. Put an end to the politics of violence and discourse that is affecting us.
