Hi everyone, 

I encourage you all to attend tomorrow's virtual town meeting with California assemblywoman, Cottie Petrie-Norris, who represents Orange County cities including Irvine. By attending this town hall meeting, I hope that we can have enough student and Irvine Company tenant representation to voice concerns about Irvine Company's lack of rent/lease compensation during this COVID-19 crisis. 

Please RSVP to the event and join the virtual town hall meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, April 7 from 5-6 pm. Here is the link to RSVP and here is the link to the Facebook live page to attend the meeting. In the link provided to RSVP, you can submit a question. I highly encourage that you all use this as an opportunity to voice your concerns and ask any questions that could be addressed during tomorrow's town hall meeting. I have gone ahead and asked a question stating my concerns about Irvine Company not negotiating on their rent or lease termination fees at this time. 

Another update for those of you wondering what the status is on publicizing Irvine Company: Currently, we are in touch with someone from the Voice of OC, a non-profit news agency in Orange County who typically forwards news stories to larger publications like the OC Register and the LA Times. They submitted their draft of this case today to be looked over by their editor.
