The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, also known as the 'Mormon Church' has been a significant political influencer of Utah Laws and Politics for the last few years.

This year, the "church" directly meddled in laws concerning the protection of gay people under hate crime laws as well as "suggested" to its members in the Utah Senate and House to oppose legislation that would allow people to use cannabis for medical purposes.

Meddling in politics is something that corporations do. As such, IF the LDS Church chooses to behave like a corporation then they should be treated like one and have their tax exemption status revoked immediately.
