Will Commissioner Justin Kelly Deliver the Garda Data

Drew Harris has been replaced by Justin Kelly as the new head of An Garda Síochána, and I have requested immediate disclosure of my personal data and that of a family member. This request has been pending since 2020 — despite Detective Chief Superintendent Declan Daly confirming years ago that relevant Garda data exists. The previous Irish Ombudsman had recommended contacting the Garda Ombudsman from 2018.
For nearly five years, both An Garda Síochána and certain other Irish authorities such as the DFA (Department for Foreign Affairs) and Irish Prisons have apparently failed to meet their obligations under GDPR, the Data Protection Act, and the Victims’ Rights Directive. This has not only obstructed justice but contributed to years of ongoing harm, harassment, and denial of remedy across multiple jurisdictions.
In my letter to Commissioner Kelly, I requested:
Immediate access to all Garda-held data on me and a family member, including GNPSB records, incident logs, investigation notes, and international cooperation files.
Confirmation of any Garda records linking us to a former International School of Geneva Board member
.A full search log, disclosure schedule, and explanation for the years of delay and record destruction.
Compliance with legal duties that have been ignored since at least 2020.
This fight is about more than my family. It is about the rights of all victims and whistleblowers who depend on transparency, accountability, and the rule of law.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
